Cal State Student Association (CSSA) adopted its 2025–26 Policy Agenda, which outlines key issues the organization will prioritize during the academic year. This agenda serves as a roadmap for CSSA’s advocacy efforts and reflects positions taken by CSSA’s Board of Directors (consisting of one student director from each Cal State University campus and the CSSA Chair) on legislative and systemwide policies. Priority 1: Address the total cost of Attendance for CSU Students

• Goal 1: Ensure the CSU remains accessible and affordable for all students

• Goal 2: Ensure access to high-quality student support services that address students’ needs

Priority 2: Ensure students have access to high-quality wellness and mental health support services

• Goal 1: Support campus and systemwide efforts that increase access to counseling and psychological services

• Goal 2: Ensure students have access to quality and affordable health and wellness services

Priority 3: Ensure the academic success and holistic educational experience of all CSU students

• Goal 1: Support systemwide efforts to enhance diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, belonging (DEIAB)

• Goal 2: Ensure students can thrive academically in safe and supportive environments

Priority 4: Foster inclusive engagement for students to find agency in the CSU community

• Goal 1: Ensure students are regarded as equal partners in higher education policy making

• Goal 2: Strengthen CSU accountability and enhance partnerships with CSSA for equitable and inclusive co-creation
