Statement on AAPI Violence

March 19, 2021

We grieve for all those affected by the senseless act of terrorism in Atlanta. The growing violence, hate, and racism directed towards the Asian Pacific Islander community is heartbreaking. We all have a responsibility in calling out hate and discrimination. We empower our AAPI students to speak out about their experiences and call on allies to amplify their experiences. No longer can these injustices go unaddressed or ignored. Every day we stand in solidarity with the Asian Pacific Islander community.

CSSA acknowledges the physical, emotional, and mental toll that injustices like this cause for students. CSU campuses provide services to support our students psychological and emotional health. To find resources available on your campus, please visit
