Student Trustee Search Information Session

Event on October 29, 2021 at 2-3pm

Join us for the first Virtual CSU Student Trustee Info Session this Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2-3pm. CSSA Vice President of Systemwide Affairs, Fabiola Moreno Ruelas and CSU Student Trustees, Krystal Raynes and Maria Linares, will discuss the application process and what it is like to be a student trustee at the CSU.

Each academic year the Cal State Student Association (CSSA) is responsible for the creation and execution of a search process to assist the Governor of California in appointing a qualified California State University (CSU) student to the CSU Board of Trustees. CSSA collects applications, selects candidates for interviews, and refers 2-5 finalists to the office of the California Governor, who selects one student to serve a two year term on the CSU Board of Trustees.

There are two voting student trustees on the 25 member board. Student Trustees serve as liaisons and advisors to the CSSA but do not have a vote and are not duty bound to the organization.
